Mind Health And Being Present

Healthy Living Guide - Rate yourself 1 through 5...

  1. you are always in the present moment and focused on what you are doing, right now
  2. throughout the day, you remember to focus on your breath and posture, and feel mostly balanced and calm
  3. being on your digital devices - computer, phone - more than you think you really should be and you feel somewhat balanced and calm
  4. you allow your thoughts to take you wherever the mind wants to go, and you feel the effects
  5. always thinking and worrying about the future or the past, and you feel it effects your health

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. always present, totally balanced, calm, relaxed          
  2. mostly balanced and calm, but lose my center and presence three or four times a year
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, forget about being present once or twice a month
  4. out of balance, maybe being present once a week, if that, and feeling the effects
  5. totally out of balance, I'm never present or in the moment, often experiencing mind stress every day

Mind Health And Feeling Appreciation

  1. it's easy for you to frequently experience feelings of love, joy and gratitude throughout the day
  2. now and again you remember to let your critical mind go and focus on the good things in life

  5. you mind constantly wants to think about draining, negative, fearful thoughts, and you feel it effects your mental and body health

  2. mostly balanced and calm, feeling appreciation couple times a week
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, feeling grateful once or twice a month

  5. totally out of balance, mental health and focus declining every day, feeling sorry for myself rather than what I appreciate in my life

Healthy Mind

  1. clear thinking, making decisions is easy, feelings of calmness, relaxation and balance
  2. you can control your mind when you want to or remember to do so, and you feel somewhat balanced and calm
  3. you can focus but only for a short time before your mind wanders off
  4. mind chatter, non-stop thoughts along with worry, anxiety, irritation and overwhelm
  5. you experience brain fog, weak memory recall, forgetfulness, a mind that is constantly thinking, and you feel the effects mentally and physically

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. mind stress has no impact, totally balanced, calm, relaxed, focused
  2. mostly balanced and calm. Issues three or four times a year with mind stress
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, issues once or twice a month
  4. out of balance, feeling the effects of mind stress once a week or more, unable to focus for long periods, memory recall issues
  5. totally out of balance, mental health, memory recall and focus declining every day

Healthy Body

  1. automatically performing healthy habits and behaviors - energizing activities, positive attitude, thoughts and nutritious food - totally balanced, calm and relaxed
  2. you have to think and remember to take good food, liquid and breathe throughout the day
  3. you find your self-care. comes last, and after everyone else has been taken care of, and you may feel you are gaining weight
  4. regularly feeling tired, drained, out of balance and feeling the effects, usually pain
  5. unhealthy habits and behaviors - over-indulgence of sugar, smoking, late nights, alcohol and bad eating habits, and you feel the negative effects

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. full of energy, totally balanced, calm, relaxed, breathing and good nutrition
  2. mostly balanced, calm and healthy, issues two or three times a year with physical health
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, issues four or more times a year with health
  4. out of balance, feeling the effects of mental and physical stress once a month, energy levels declining
  5. totally out of balance, health issues once a week, no energy, tired and drained

Healthy Sleep

Healthy Living Guide - Rate yourself 1 through 5...

  1. wake up refreshed, excited to get up and start your day, feeling totally balanced, calm and relaxed with eight hours of uninterrupted sleep
  2. six to eight hours of sleep, comfortable pillows and no neck pain, headaches or back pain
  3. in your bed, you feel safe and secure at night, you wake up, once or twice to go the bathroom
  4. frequently experience insomnia and wake up in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep, feeling a bit tired in the morning
  5. you do not look forward to going to bed at night, wake up  tired, maybe more tired than when you went to bed and dreading getting up for the day, feeling totally out of balance

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. plenty of sleep, totally balanced, calm, relaxed
  2. mostly balanced and calm. Issues three or four times a year with insomnia
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, issues once or twice a month unable to sleep or waking up in the middle of the night
  4. out of balance about once a week, feeling the effects of not getting enough sleep
  5. totally out of balance, sleep is an ongoing battle, seriously feeling the effects of lack of sleep every day

Healthy Home Life

Healthy Living Guide - Rate yourself 1 through 5...

  1. you feel safe, secure and it's your space with calm lighting, colors and textures
  2. happy and a positive attitude at home, but atmosphere could be improved
  3. somewhat happy with the appearance, location and surroundings of your home
  4. you experience unfriendly interactions at home, and you feel the negative, draining effects
  5. for as long as possible you avoid and dread going home for whatever reason, and you feel it's effecting your mental and physical health

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. feeling safe, calm, perfect atmosphere, no stress
  2. mostly balanced, calm and good home life
  3. somewhat balanced, feeling home life issues or need some change
  4. out of balance with issues at home most of the time, whether interactions with people or surroundings
  5. totally out of balance home life, nothing is working and feeling it in my body and mind

Health Outside Your Home

  1. every day you go outside, experience nature, breathe fresh air, feel the Sun, and meet friendly people with positive attitudes
  2. you get outside a couple times a week and spend some time with friends, family
  3. now and again you go places, meet people, do things that have meaning to you
  4. you feel unsafe, uncomfortable and out of balance going outside for anything
  5. you fear going outside and may experience social anxiety, and you feel the effects in your mind and body

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. totally balanced, calm, relaxed         
  2. mostly balanced and calm
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, getting outside now and again
  4. out of balance, need to get out more
  5. totally out of balance, fear of going out and feeling the effects

Healthy Pleasures

  1. spend quality recreational fun, regular vacations, laughing, enjoying life's pleasures, and doing things I'm passionate about
  2. need to spend a bit more time relaxing, laughing and having recreational fun, sex life is where I want it to be
  3. just enough time having fun, leisure, relaxation, and need to do more things I'm passionate about
  4. would like to spend more time doing things I love to do, and haven't had a vacation this year, and I haven't bought new clothes in a long time
  5. no time to do anything recreational, hobbies, laughing or anything creative, and feeling the negative, draining effects in my mind and body

Health And Your Life Purpose

  1. you're practicing your values and following your beliefs with your time being filled doing things you enjoy and love to do. You are using your gifts and they help fill a need or want in others who may be suffering
  2. you are helping to change lives of others but you are unsure if it really is fulfilling for you
  3. you feel you need some change and a new direction in your life so that you may be better to serve others with your gifts
  4. you have a sense that parts of your life are missing, you have no direction and not fully following your values and beliefs
  5. you realize parts of your life are not working and you don't know what to do with your time or whether you have gifts to share or not. Because of this, you are feeling the effects and your health is declining

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. fulfilling my life purpose, totally balanced, calm, relaxed          
  2. mostly balanced and calm by helping
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, unsure of your direction
  4. out of balance, not following your passions and goals
  5. totally out of balance as I don't even know what my life purpose is, and it's causing me some mind stress

Mind Health And Work

  1. you love your job because it has meaning to you, have great relationships with your boss and co-workers and everything flows. Very low stress
  2. you kind of like your job, its career direction and hours
  3. medium stress level, feel you deserve more money for the hours you put in and your performance
  4. you job is ok, relationships with boss and co-workers aren't all that great and you sometimes question the company culture
  5. you hate your job, it has no meaning to you, you feel underpaid, work more than the normal working hours in a week, and no retirement plan. Very high stress

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. totally balanced, calm, relaxed          
  2. mostly balanced and calm with work
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, but there are a couple of issues
  4. out of balance with work and career
  5. totally out of balance and hate my job

Mind Health And Money

  1. because you have a budget and a plan, all your bills and expenses are taken care of in a timely manner with no stress or impact along with a retirement plan and savings
  2. same as number 1. but without any investments
  3. same as number 2. but without savings for a rainy day
  4. not enough money because you waste money
  5. you have no plan or budget, too many bills and feel you're not even scraping by

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. no impact over stress and money, totally balanced, calm, relaxed
  2. mostly balanced and calm about money
  3. somewhat balanced and calm
  4. out of balance with quite a bit of stress with money
  5. totally out of balance, no money, a lot of stress

Mind Health And Time

Healthy Living Guide - Rate yourself 1 through 5...

  1. you have a daily plan and life purpose, you are efficient, do things you want to do and time is not an issue
  2. you do as you please because you are organized and have very good time management skills
  3. most days you engage in time-wasting activities
  4. you feel overwhelmed on a regular basis and find it difficult to set boundaries
  5. you say "I have no time", "I'm always running out of time", you can't say "no" and you are over-obligated

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. you have a plan, totally balanced, calm, organized         
  2. mostly balanced and calm about time
  3. somewhat balanced and calm, sometimes in a rush
  4. out of balance, no boundaries and over-committed
  5. totally out of balance, have no time and feeling the effects of rushing around with body and mind stress

Healthy Relationships

Healthy Living Guide - Rate yourself 1 through 5...

There are five key areas to think about...

  1. romantic
  2. family
  3. friends
  4. work
  5. "friends" on social media and business media
  1. harmonious and loving relationships with good, positive, clear communication, quality time spent, and everyone is equal and contributes to the conversation
  2. spending some quality time in uplifting conversations, positive attitude, and having your own space
  3. some relationships are positive, energizing and uplifting and some are negative and draining
  4. mostly draining relationships with weak communication and I don't feel heard
  5. engaging in negative talk and gossip, people interrupt you mid-sentence or you do the interrupting

When rating yourself, consider the following as well...

  1. totally balanced, calm, harmonious, quality time spent  
  2. mostly balanced and calm relationships
  3. somewhat balanced and calm with some stress
  4. out of balance, draining relationships and no equality
  5. totally out of balance, bad communication, feeling the effects with mind stress

Mind Health And Personal Growth

  1. every day you want to learn from every situation whether in prosperity or adversity
  2. you're in a learning mode most days and love learning, educating and studying your life
  3. you read, listen or watch something that's uplifting and you learn from
  4. sometimes you are up for the task and sometimes you're not and can't be bothered
  5. feeling stuck in a rut and can't seem to change it, and you don't seem to learn what you need to learn to get out of it
