Here is an easy social anxiety self help technique to help you using guided imagery and visualization to use the power of your subconscious mind...

  1. take a few minutes and write down all the social interactions and events you may find yourself possibly feeling anxious
  2. once you've written down this list, re-order them from slight anxiety all the way to severe social anxiety
  3. start with the weakest one first and just close your eyes, breathe, and think about putting yourself in this social event
  4. visualize being sociable. 
  5. where are you? 
  6. inside or outside? 
  7. who are you talking to? 
  8. who is talking? 
  9. how do you feel?
  10. when this weaker social interaction or event becomes easier for you to do, in your mind, move on to thinking about and visualizing the next slightly stronger social event
  11. really think about it. visualize it. Ask yourself the same questions as before
  12. where are you? 
  13. inside or outside? 
  14. who are you talking to? 
  15. who is talking? 
  16. how do you feel?
  17. every time you feel more comfortable, just move on to the next slightly stronger social event or interaction.
  18. doing this social anxiety self help technique can take from one day up to several months to complete.
  19. be calm and gentle with yourself
