How To Do The Mind Anchoring Positive Thoughts Technique

  1. breathe and relax the mind and body
  2. bring to mind and think about a positive thought, feeling or emotion you want to experience whenever you want to, and which we're going to anchor into your mind
  3. intensify this thought or feeling you want to anchor by visualizing it and making it very powerful and strong in your mind
  4. touch, tap or rub a part of your body as you visualize and experience this positive thought and feeling
  5. test to see if it worked

Guided Imagery Script For Mind Anchoring Positive Thoughts And Emotions 

  1. before you start, take a few moments and pick a thought, feeling or emotion you want to anchor in and experience whenever you want to, like confidence, for example
  2. now, start by going to a place where you will be alone and not be disturbed
  3. sit on a chair or on the floor with your back straight. Do not lay down
  4. just sit there, being perfectly still and breathe
  5. when you are ready, focus all your attention as you breathe in and breathe out
  6. now, for about a minute, breathe in as you push your belly out and breathe out as you gently bring your belly back in
  7. the next step is to take a minute to focus on each body part in turn while repeating the following affirmations to yourself...
  8. "I am relaxing my jaw and face muscles. My jaw and face muscles are relaxing"
  9. "I am relaxing my jaw and face muscles. My jaw and face muscles are relaxing"
  10. "I am relaxing my neck and shoulder muscles. My neck and shoulder muscles are relaxing"
  11. "I am relaxing my neck and shoulder muscles. My neck and shoulder muscles are relaxing"
  12. "I am relaxing my chest and belly muscles. My chest and belly muscles are relaxing"
  13. "I am relaxing my chest and belly muscles. My chest and belly muscles are relaxing"
  14. "I am relaxing my whole back muscles. My whole back muscles are relaxing"
  15. "I am relaxing my whole back muscles. My whole back muscles are relaxing"
  16. "I am relaxing my arms, hands and fingers. My arms, hands and fingers are relaxing"
  17. ,"I am relaxing my arms, hands and fingers. My arms, hands and fingers are relaxing"
  18. "I am relaxing my legs, feet and toes. My legs, feet and toes are relaxing"
  19. "I am relaxing my legs, feet and toes. My legs, feet and toes are relaxing"
  20. now, we start the process of mind anchoring positive thoughts and emotions you've chosen to anchor into your mind
  21. remember the time in the past when you experienced this thought or feeling before
  22. really think about it and totally focus on it
  23. as you focus on it, have a sense of experiencing this positive thought and emotion, right now
  24. now, intensify your feeling by visualizing and making a mental picture of when you experience this before
  25. make this picture in your mind as alive as possible
  26. focus all your attention on this picture or movie and notice all the details in it
  27. is day time or night time?
  28. are you inside or outside?
  29. are you alone or with other people?
  30. what colors do you see?
  31. what sounds do you hear?
  32. as you focus on this strong image, thought and emotion, touch, tap or rub the body part you chose as your anchor
  33. keep on visualizing and thinking about the thought or emotion you want as you keep touching, tapping or rubbing the body part.
  34. keep on repeating this visualizing and touching three, four or five times to really anchor in the thought and feeling
  35. once you have completed this, I want you just to stand up for a few seconds and then sit back down again.
  36. now, we can test to see if it worked or we need repeat this guided imagery script
  37. to test, breathe and relax your body and start touching, tapping or rubbing the body part that's the anchor
  38. as you do this, notice if the chosen positive thought or emotion gets activated in your mind
