Latest science research studies have been done over and over showing, without touch, that when we just pay loving attention to another, it influences their heart (HRV) and overall health. For example, the special connects people have with their pets and the pets have with them. Think of the coherent heart connection between mother and baby.

Another experiment used a number of people, in this case four, that were communicating over the internet to each other. Three of them trained to put themselves into the heart coherence state. The fourth person was not trained in self-regulating themselves in this way. The results show that even the fourth, untrained person would go into a heart coherent state when the other three did.

Another study was performed at a high school in Liverpool, England using HeartMath techniques to increase social coherence as well as increase in study discipline and easier learning environment. The students practiced HeartMath techniques to...

  • synchronize brain waves and the heart
  • create a new baseline of coherence and relaxation
  • create group or social coherence for students and staff

The study showed that the students saved 3 hours a week because there were less disruptions and easier learning.

Another study was performed called - Social Baseline Theory. A Metaphor For Life. I clearly demonstrated the quality of our relationships and support impacts how we perceive the world.

  1. an individual was asked to observe a slope of a hill and grade its steepness
  2. then, the same person was loaded up with a weighted backpack and graded the same slope of the hill to be steeper than before
  3. then, another person stood next to the person who wore the backpack. Again, the person graded the slope of the hill and graded it to be less steep
