Think Acronym

Think of the THINK acronym before you speak to anyone or write anything.

Here is what the THINK acronym means and stands for.

Is what I am about to say (or write)...

  • T - is it True?
  • H - is it Helpful?
  • I - is it Inspiring?
  • N - is it Necessary?
  • K - is it Kind?

Mind Wellness Techniques Guided Imagery Scripts

  1. take a few moments to think about and remember a time when you felt really happy, free, strong, healthy and time did not matter
  2. once you have this place in your mind, start by going to a quiet place where you can sit or lay down with no interruptions
  3. set a timer for five to ten minutes
  4. just sit there, being perfectly still and breathe
  5. when you are ready, focus all your attention as you breathe in and breathe out
  6. now, for a minute or two, breathe in as you push your belly out and breathe out as you gently bring your belly back in
  7. now, when you are ready, the next step is to relax your whole body by focusing on each body part in turn while repeating the following affirmations to yourself...
  8. "I am relaxing my jaw and face muscles. My jaw and face muscles are relaxing"
  9. "I am relaxing my neck and shoulder muscles. My neck and shoulder muscles are relaxing"
  10. "I am relaxing my chest and belly muscles. My chest and belly muscles are relaxing"
  11. "I am relaxing my whole back muscles. My whole back muscles are relaxing"
  12. "I am relaxing my arms, hands and fingers. My arms, hands and fingers are relaxing"
  13. ,"I am relaxing my legs, feet and toes. My legs, feet and toes are relaxing"
  14. now, the next step is using the power of our Subconscious mind to think of that time in your life when you felt happy, relaxing, calm, peaceful, strong and healthy
  15. have a sense of a mental picture developing and visualize this time, if you can
  16. focus all your attention on this picture or movie and notice all the details in it
  17. are you inside or outside?
  18. is day time or night time?
  19. are you alone or with other people?
  20. what colors do you see?
  21. what sounds do you hear?
  22. as you focus on this image, recognize how you are feeling and remember it
  23. keep this image for as long as you want or until your timer goes off
  24. once you feel you've completed the Mind Wellness Guided Imagery Technique, go about your day and have a sense of the feelings of happiness, calmness and relaxation going with you.
