Techniques For Turning Negative Thoughts To Positive

The key to changing negative thoughts to positive is watching and witnessing your mind, then catching it when it goes down the road of negativity and draining thoughts.

When you notice your mind has wandered down the negative road, follow these 3 steps...

  1. Stop the negative thought, just like you would stop at a stop sign at a junction on the road
  2. Suppress the negative thought out of your mind, even if it's just for a moment or two
  3. Substitute it with a positive thought...

  • Angry --> Patience, Peace, Calmness, Joy
  • Anxiety --> Peace, Calmness, Ease, Happy

  • Depressed --> Happy, Cheerful, Hope, Courageous
  • Frustrated --> Helpful, Supportive, Patience
  • I Can’t --> I Can, I Am
  • Overwhelm --> Brave, Courageous
  • Sad --> Cheerful, Happy, Joy
  • Tension --> Relaxing
  • Worry --> Calmness, Reassurance

The key is you are breaking the habit of the mind dwelling in those negative thoughts. The more you follow these 3 steps, the more the mind will start to do it automatically.
