What Is Mindfulness

Here is a brief and accurate description on the question: what is mindfulness...

  • you consistently watch and witness the activity of your conscious, thinking mind as well as the tendencies of the subconscious mind
  • being aware of what is happening, right now in the present moment (without wishing it different)
  • putting your mind fully into the present moment which means always fully engaging in what you are doing, right now

Mindfulness Living Techniques And Exercises

Mindful Breathing – breathe in to the count of 3. Then, breathe out to the count of 3. Repeat. Letting go. Breathing into the belly. Great exercise to calm the min and body as well as reducing mind stress.

Mindful Focus – concentrate on something for a while - the ocean waves, flower, clouds, your hand.

Mindful Life – mono-tasking is the awareness and appreciation of simple, every tasks: opening a door; eating; thoughts. Resulting in contentment in your activities: sweeping the floor; making a bed; setting the table for dinner.

Mindfulness Eating - increase your health of your body, mind and digestion.

Mindful Listening – neutral and non-judgmental. Totally listening to someone talking to you without interrupting them.

Mindful Talking – is what you are about to say worth saying. Is it gossip? Is it true? Is it going to hurt someone?

Mindful Appreciation – every day, list 9 things - people, places - that you usually don’t think about too often.

Mindfulness Heart - a short guided imagery video coaching you how to get out of your busy head and into your heart.

Mindful Thoughts Create Purpose - how to be purposeful with your thoughts and actions to create the life you want to experience.
